Some more information about our breeding:
All our puppies are born and raised inside our house. The first two
or three weeks they are in our bedroom – so we can hear, if there is any
problem and also their mother needs peace and she is very proud to be there
alone with her puppies. We don't have litters very often, so we love to
watch them growing up and if they are older we play with them, we spend a
lot of time and energy.
From about 4 weeks of age, they live with us and
our other dogs together. Every day they learn a little bit more. The
puppies will from now on meet lots of people (family and friends of us).
When they are ready to move, they are used to interacting with both dogs
and humans, they are used to everything that goes on in a normal home, they
know the sound of a vacuum cleaner and they know the shortest way to the
kitchen,… they have also taken some short trips in our car. Before the
puppies are ready to move, they have been healthchecked by our vet, they
are ID-marked with microchip and they have got their first vaccinations.
Interested puppybuyers are welcome to meet the
puppies from 6 weeks of age. We do not allow visitors before this age
because of the risk for infection and since the bitch need to have the
first weeks with the puppies for herself. Every puppybuyer will get a lot
of information and we use a buyerscontract. We breed under the FCI / ÖKV
and Österr. Jagdspaniel Klub. This means that all our breeding dogs healthy
checked – they have good hips X-ray, tested eyes and now new a DNA-test
against PRA. They have excellent description and first places at dogs shows
and we prefer dogs with fabulous movement.
So we - and also every puppy-buyer - try to keep
this wonderful breed with their charming and friendly nature for the
future.
